The first expansion for the Sun & Moon Series, this set contains 149 cards and 14 secret cards. Released in February 2017 the set was the first to feature Generation VII Pokemon, specifically the two legendary Pokemon from this era - Solgaleo & Lunala. The expansion also introduced Pokemon GX which was a more powerful version of Pokemon. When a GX Pokemon is knocked out the opponent can take 2 prize cards instead of just 1. GX Pokemon came in 3 prints - Regular cards, full art cards and secret rainbow rare cards.
Cards to watch in this set include Umbreon GX #154, Switch Full Art Gold Holo #160 & Espeon GX #152.
The cards for this series also received a new update including no more strips between the Pokemon Name and HP, the illustrator’s name, set symbol, card number and card rarity was also moved on the bottom of the cards from this series onwards.
