Expedition Base Set, this is the first main expansion from the e-Card Series, featuring 165 cards. This was released in September 2002, the set introduced Technical Machine Cards, which allow the Pokemon they are attached to use an attack as specified on the card. Pokemon Power from this set onwards was split into two groups, Poke-Power, and Poke-body. Expedition Base Set updated the card design, one of the main changes was the increased size of borders to incorporate the Dot Code technology for use with Nintendo e-Reader. As always, the Charizard Holo #6 in this set is one to watch, along with Blastoise Holo #4, & Dragonite Holo #9.
